Someone once said, "Friendship is the foundation of everlasting love." I found this to be true when I found my amazing husband, Paul. After 6 years of building our friendship, Paul and I were married, and have continued to deepen our bond over the past 9 years. During this time we have welcomed two beautiful daughters, Lauren and Brayden, into our lives.
At an early age, God blessed me with the gift of being able to connect with children. I have used this gift as a teacher to help children become the best they can be. I take great pride, each year, in building community in my classroom and making children feel safe and secure in the classroom environment. This way, I am better able to meet their needs and help them grow in all curricular areas.
In addition to being a wife, mother, and teacher, I am involved in various community service products. The one that has touched my heart the most is volunteering for the Special Olympics. As a former competitive swimmer, I feel that I have a great connection to these athletes and love celebrating with them as they cross the finish line with bright smiles on their faces. |
