Hello from Missouri, the Show-Me State!  I am honored to represent the married women of Missouri.  My husband and our crew of four great kids live in the Gateway to the West, St. Louis.  As an optometrist, I have the opportunity to provide eye care to those with diabetes.  As Mrs. Missouri,  I am able to spread the message of the importance of eye exams for diabetics beyond the walls of my eye care clinic.   Most people do not know that diabetes is the leading cause of blindness in America.  Detection of diabetic eye disease, before vision is lost, allows for sight saving treatments.  I am passionate about getting out this very important message.  I have just recently been honored to serve as a guest speaker at the American Diabetes Association summer camp for kids.   The experience was amazing!

Our family life is very active!  We love to ski (the teenage girls snowboard), hike and travel.  My husband and I practice yoga together on a regular basis and enjoy long distance cycling (100 miles is our record) when we can fit it into the schedule.   Cheering on the kids at soccer, volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse is a priority also.  It is an honor to represent the married women of the great state of Missouri!
