I am honored to represent the married women of Iowa. I feel truly blessed to be married to a wonderful man who is my best friend. As the years go by our bond with each other continues to grow stronger. We are now experiencing the joy of watching our three children grow into young adults and begin to follow their own dreams. I was fortunate to know early in life that a career in nursing was a perfect fit for me. With that career promoting the important work of the American Heart Association came naturally. Our personal family tragedies inspired me to do more than just belong to this organization. I knew I needed to be a voice to motivate change. I didn’t know when I started that journey the biggest reward I would find would be seeing the positive impact it made on my own family and their attitudes towards healthy living and volunteerism.
I truly believe in living life with a positive attitude and a caring soul. By giving of yourself, your time and your talents you will receive more than you could have ever imagined.
