Things change in our life that change us…

Our family journey started over ten years ago. Nick and I were focused on building a solid foundation for our future. I obtained a Juris Doctorate and Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, achieving my dream position at ABC Action News as their Legal Anchor and the host of ABC’s “Consumer Update.” However, things change in our life that change us… After struggling to have children, I never imagined I would say the words “my baby.” And if you told me twins, I would have thought I was dreaming. Fortunately, dreams do come true! While I’ve received many honors throughout my career, none have been more important than being Nicholas and Landyn’s mother. They have changed and refreshed the way I see the world.

Today, I’m proud to be a full-time mom and a part-time TV personality.  Between diapers and playtime, I found the perfect fit for my family as the host of a TV show catering to moms.  I’ve learned to balance my role as a wife and mother with my personal desire to make a lasting impact. For over twenty years, I have been an advocate for animal welfare. While in college, I co-founded the National Humane Society. This year I’ve focused on expanding my teen motivational program, The Teen Edge, nationwide. But, it’s my work as an advocate for children and adults with disabilities that has become my labor of love. By sharing my family experience, we’ve helped impact early intervention. I’m honored to serve as their spokesperson and on the Board of Directors for Florida’s Infants and Young Children.
