The Piibors are a Chicago-meets-Sweden-meets-Oregon family that loves their adopted hometown of Eugene. Erin completed her education at Indiana State University with a BS in Exercise Science, a MS in Exercise Physiology and a Masters of Public Administration, then headed west when Swedish husband Jonas was hired as the Associate Head Coach for the University of Oregon men’s tennis team. Following suit, Erin joined the U of O as an Instructor for the Physical Education department then as a coach for the women’s competitive dance team. In addition, Erin is proud to represent Mary Kay Skin Care and Cosmetics as an Independent Beauty Consultant when she is not teaching, training and managing full-time at Courtsports Athletic Club in Eugene.
Since 2000, Erin has been active in promoting fitness and healthy living and has a great passion for ending childhood obesity. Besides the aspect of fitness aiding in competitive sports and recreation, after understanding the immense importance for overall health, Erin founded Nutrition and Exercise Education Daily (NEED) 4 Kids Health in 2003. This program is designed improve the quality and quantity of physical, health and nutrition education and funding in our public and private school systems as well as our homes. Erin’s passion led her to become a State Spokesperson for INShape Indiana alongside her philanthropic desire to regularly support and volunteer for the Relief Nursery, American Cancer Society-Relay for Life, Boys and Girls Club of America and Children’s Miracle Network.
As much a possible, Erin enjoys hiking, watching movies, traveling and being a new home owner with her husband and 2 year old son, Nicholas. The intense connection with family and friends not only in Oregon but back in her old stomping grounds in the Midwest keep Erin feeling loved and supported no matter where her feet fall.
