Shortly after being crowned Mrs. Wyoming 2011, I was asked to attend a girl scout meeting. At this meeting, a young girl scout asked me, “ Do you feel different now that you are Mrs. Wyoming?” I momentarily reflected on all it took to achieve this title and it suddenly dawned on me... the importance and responsibility that accompanies the crown, sash, and title of Mrs. Wyoming. This IS a big deal! I competed four times for this title, and when I finally accomplished what I set out to do, at first, I didn't realize the impact it would have on the people of my own community, the State of Wyoming, and most of all, my marriage.

I do feel different now that I am Mrs. Wyoming-America 2011. I feel excited! I feel accomplished! I feel like any goal is achievable if you believe in the cause behind it.

I believe in what Mrs. America stands for- empowering married women to step outside their comfort zones and push their limits for our families, our husbands, our communities and for our own personal growth. Becoming Mrs. Wyoming has changed me in ways I can't describe on paper and the journey it took to get here has been a blessing on my marriage in so many positive ways. I am honored to represent the great State of Wyoming and my ultimate hope and dream is to represent the finest country in which to live... America!
