Hometown: Barre Town

It is with great honor that I will be representing the great state of Vermont in this year's Mrs. America Pageant. As a child, I remember watching the Mrs. America Pageants on TV and cheering for Mrs. Vermont.  It is truly a dream come true for me to now be the woman that little girls in VT will be cheering for.  I can honestly say that I would not be heading to West Virginia to compete at the Nationals if it was not for my amazing husband who always believes in me, and encourages me to be the best.  As a mother of three young children I wanted to set an example and show them that even Mommy can step out of her comfort zone and try new things. It is important for me to always be a role model for my children to look up to and demonstrate that you can do anything you put your mind to.  I am ecstatic to add my reign as Mrs. Vermont, and hopefully Mrs. America, to my resume and make my family and the Green Mountain State proud.

As a part of my reign I am honored to be working with the March of Dimes Organization.  This is an organization that I hold dear to my heart because of my own personal experiences with infant mortality.  I look forward to being able to use my experiences, and my new title of Mrs. Vermont, to not only educate Vermonters, but to also help the March of Dimes raise money for their worthy cause.  I look forward to gaining as much support as I can to help the March of Dimes in their many events that I will be participating in over the course of this year and in the future.
