"Since the age of three, I’ve dream't that I might one day represent the married women of this great state, so being this year’s Mrs. Texas is literally a dream fulfilled! I believe that cultivating a strong family and contributing to one’s community are two of the most honorable and rewarding things a person can do, and these pursuits are the centerpieces of my life. I live in the resplendent Texas hill country with my wonderful husband Ty, where we own and manage Superior Excavation Services, one of the fastest-growing site-work construction firms in South Texas. We have two beautiful girls, my eight-year-old stepdaughter Abigail and our four-year-old daughter Dale. I adore being with my family, whether we’re participating in church and school activities, traveling, or simply enjoying what the hill-country lifestyle has to offer.I am an active volunteer for causes that are important to me, including the American Heart Association and various local youth programs. I also volunteer at my daughter’s school and our family’s church. I was recently thrilled to be made an honorary deputy of the San Antonio Police Department for my volunteer work! Although my number-one job is to be a stay-at-home wife, mother, and community servant, I do find time to do a bit of modeling and media work, and I also offer freelance cosmetic consultation services to friends and colleagues.
I am inspired by all of my fellow Mrs. America candidates, and I look forward to competing for the honor of Mrs. America this Spring!" |
