It seems like only yesterday that I met the love of my life, Hank Johnson. After 38 years of marriage, every day with him is a new adventure whether we’re traveling to exotic locations or sitting at home watching a movie and eating popcorn. Over the years we have shared many joys including watching our two sons grow into respectful and honorable young men. They have blessed our lives tremendously and in their wives we now have two beautiful daughters. My grandchildren Bradyn, 5 and Brycen 3, are my inspiration. They wow me with their unconditional love, joy and enthusiasm for the newness of life. Over the years I’ve learned that it’s the simple things that matter most, like curling up and reading a good book, with the true lady of the house, Porsche, my Birman cat by my side. Each day my goal is to live in the moment, be a blessing to others and to be thankful for the abundance this life has allowed me. I am truly honored to represent the beautiful and accomplished wives and mothers of the great state of Illinois.
